[thelist] OSX server, IE6/PC, DHTML rollovers not working

I have built a page containing basic image rollovers. The code is error
free:
function rollOn (imgName) {
document.images[imgName].src = "images/btnOn.gif";
}

When the server is *not* OSX, the rollovers work well in all browsers.
When the serve *is* OSX, the rollovers are noticeably slow to change
images in IE6 on Windows, ok in all other browsers.

Is it possible that OSX is doing something weird to the mimetype that is
confusing IE6?
