rudy,

wow, if only everyone were such a great developer that writing code for one standard instead of
two took no more time! C'mon rudy. I'm sure you are great at what you do, just like everyone on
this list. But hey, if I have to write for NN4+ and IE4+, I have to write extra code - period. It
doesn't matter how GOOD I am.

Specifically since it is a DHTML intensive site, this is even more the case. That is why for many
enterprise wide appliations delivered via the internet, the company chooses a platform.

There's a big difference between putting a site out there for the public that YES, should be
accessible as Jeff states to everyones mode of surfing -- and a private product installed on a
user's system. Our users DON'T get a choice what browser to use, period.

Nobody got "hosed", but if they only had NS, what they got was IE installed, and 2 weeks training
on how to use our product.

Look, when you are given a specific job to do (ie, write such an such code for IE only doing such
an such) whre you don't have the option to walk over and slap the boss for his decisions and
change them, you do what you can to the best of your ability. There's a real tendency, especially
on a list like this, to hold on to high ideals like browser accessability, perfect code and so on,
but in the business world of dollars, things aren't so rosy.

We can all disagree or agree on what may be best for a particular "user", but as one movie was
titled once...reality bites.

Tom
