[thelist] Screen capture on my Mac

Have pity on a Mac neophyte: All I want to do is grab some screen caps. I
have the website open in IE, press Command(that goofy squiggle+Shift+4 and
then pop over to PhotoShop to paste, and the 'paste' option is greyed out.

Am I correct that Cmd+Shift+3 is the whole screen and Cmd+Shift+4 is the
active window?

Am I missing something real obvious?
