[thelist] controlling multiple windows

So I've got a weird problem.

I would like to have one html page, open loading, spawn two daughter windows.  Basically, I want the left daughter window to control elements in the right daughter window.

The second issue is that i would like to be able to use onunload so that if you close one of the two windows it will close them both.

Could someone please help me with this?  How do I spawn two windows that are able to communicate with each other and close each other?
