As much as you hate to encourage cybersquatters, I would consider paying
them for the domain. If you write up a good domain transfer agreement, and
get everyone to sign it, you can feel pretty confident that the domain will
actually get transferred to you. And you won't have to deal with the
uncertainties of arbitration.

First you will want to check with the registrar and make sure that the
domain transfer will end the whole thing, and that someone else will not
then get the opprotunity to try to snatch it away from you.

I've managed domain transfers for a couple of companies - if you like, I can
send you a copy of the domain transfer agreement I have used.
