One last issue I had issues with from Mac OS9 users -
reverse name lookup.  This probably isn't your issue, but we
had an FTP server that we connected from a PC just fine,
but our Mac people couldn't.  We thought it was software, but it
was that the FTP server was trying a reverse lookup and their ISP
configuration wasn't allowing it.
