If you are going to plug in a new but previously used hard drive into a
Win2K box and you don't care about the data - make sure you fdisk via DOS
it first. If the drive was previously a boot/system disk for NT or Win2K,
the OS will recognize it as such and helpfully prevent you from doing
*anything* to the hard drive.

In fact, after physically removing the drive you will not be able to remove
the "ghosted" reference to the drive via Drive Manager!!

To fdisk the recycled drive: plug the drive into a PC, boot with a Win98
floppy, and run fdisk.
