[thelist] Business name

(you're so asking for it)

how about these...

asforasyouknowidontknowjackshit.com
ivegotskillzfordayz.com
imaketheintarweb.com
1337.com (taken already?)
inventiveweb.com
designerweb.com
web4u.com
<your name>designs.com (don't use schaapy though. ;)

i think the problem that i'm having (and possibly you as well) is that
i'm trying to come up with a name that will indicate to an ignorant
person what your business does. when in fact that shouldn't be the case.
only small time, low-brow companies do stuff like that. for example,
"nike". what the hell is a nike?! they didn't call it "innovative shoes,
inc." because that sounds lame. so my suggestion of "inventiveweb.com"
is lame as well, so don't use it.

moral of the story: call it whatever the hell you want. it's just as
likely to be successful. is there any evidence against this? i'd like to
know.

in fact i would choose a company called "zerg web design" over "magical
net" or "websites 'r' us" or "internet solutions" etc. anyday. not
because i think "zerg web design" sounds professional or anything, but
just because it sounds less corny and rod-up-the-a$$ sort of thing. you
know what i mean?

now to continue the list...

sponge.com (probably taken though.)
rocksolutions.com or just rock.com
moonbeam.com (you know, like "take a moon beam home in a jar" except the
moonbeam is your deign and the... oh nevermind.)
crowdedstreet.com
schaapy.com (maybe you've already got this!)
DETI.com (Designers for the Ethical Treatment of Internet's, err... the
Internet)

ok... i suck.

chris.

no tip.
