I just want to thank everyone who replied to my question!  I'm going to take a
day and visit all the websites that were suggested to me and read them
completely.

I use http://www.mailsnare.net which has an IMP interface, which inspired me to
try and download it, just to try something new :)  And I'm getting tired of
hearing some of my friends talk about things that were completely over my head,
so I'm going to learn about it if it kills me!
