yes, you are correct. iis5. default install so i'm going to assume the
use of NTLM is true.

as far as the SSL thing goes, are suggesting that the site be hosted
from https:// and the authentication turned down to basic?

this is for an intranet site so it's not necessary that it work at all
in anything but ie6 sp1. i was just curious to see how my adventures in
tableless design are going as far as other browsers are concerned. ;)

thanks for the information, i don't think i would have thought of it
being the server's problem.
