yes, it's a significantly more complicated proposition to stream
directly, on windows no less.  i don't know of any win-specific, free
server products, but there's always windows media streaming server
(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/technologies/
services.asp) or real media products.  personally, i've tried darwin
streaming server (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/products/qtss/), an
open source version of quicktime streaming server, with success.
there's a windows version, but i've no idea how it performs.

curious to know what you figure out...
