Hi,

We've just been having a discussion in the office of how best to explain
the function of the 'browse' button in a type="file" input box to users
of a site. The target audience may not be particularly computer savvy,
and I guess we're getting stuck on the kind of vocabulary to use.

One suggestion was to use language based around the Windows Explorer
metaphor, but we have concerns that this may trip up people using other
OS's?

How do you explain the idea of navigating through a file structure
without using too high level a language?

Is this even something that has been looked into (a google search didn't
find anything pertinent)?

G.
