I do the same.  I have a couple of semi-regulars who browse my personal
site in Lynx.

There are hardcore DOM doohickies on my site (as you know if you've ever
visited, nudge nudge wink wink) so when people who've seen it in { newer
UA } see it in { older UA } the response is usually something along the
lines of, "that was a pleasant surprise."

There is, however, one caveat to testing in Lynx... while Lynx shows you
what happens when all of the fluff gets taken out, it doesn't alert you
readability issues.
