[thelist] Free Tip on Outlook 2k

Hi Rob,

I use Outlook on Win2k as well.

I simply highlight the messages I want to save, click on 'Edit->Copy',
and then paste them into a directory on the hard drive where I want to keep
them. {Usually something mundane like 'archived email' within a project
folder.}

Then I delete them from Outlook.

They save as individual files that will open in Outlook if double-clicked.

This also lets you later save your completed projects, with all correspondance,
to a CD-R and clean it off your hard drive altogether.

HTH,

RonL.
(Okay - if it's project work, I also go through the messages and number them
in a sequential fashion [by prepending the subject line] in order to make them
easier to find later on --- which also happens to neatly solve the problem
of trying to write twelve files with the same "RE: New Report" file name.)

;-)
