My Dell Precision workstation and Dell Inspiron laptop both have 256-color,
16-bit or 32-bit options with a wide range of resolutions, but no 24-bit
options... for reasons discussed within this thread. My workstation has an
NVidia GeForce2 GTS/GeForce 2 Pro, and my laptop has an Ati Mobility
Radeon. FWIW, both are factory installed and are less than a year old.

At any rate, it's an interesting discussion and good review about all the
bits and their variations. ;-)
