[thelist] Win2K: Changing "localhost"

I recently re-installed Win2K, and when it asked me what I should name
TCP/IP local loop-back address, I figured that I would go for one of those
dynamic DNS addresses, so instead of using "localhost" I used
"myName.dnsalias.com".
In retrospect, it's a big mistake.
Since then, I've had problems getting IE to access my machine locally. I
can't use "localhost" or "127.0.0.1" to access my local server, and
using "myName.dnsalias.com" yields "Bad Gateway: A DNS lookup error
occurred. The host was not found." (But Moz access it quite easily!)
Can someone offer some insight as to how I can rename my loopback to
localhost that I may use 127.0.0.1 as my address again? It was inputted by
a set-up wizard, I'm sure that there must be a setting somewhere for it.
I don't know if it's relevant, but I'm using Apache 1.3xx and cf 4.5.1 sp2
Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks!
