I noticed this problem too - when people look up your name or company, and
see you asking for advice, this doesn't give a good impression.

According to Google, pages that have the following meta tag on them:

<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW">

will (logically) not be indexed.
Now I don't know whether pasting the tag into a post like this will help,
and the people replying to your post might snip it out anyway.
It seems that evolt.org should offer a way to add the above tag to pages in
the archive (short of deleting pages completely - which is also a
possibility)

Google then gives you an opportunity to tell them that the tag has been
added to the page, and they'll remove the listing:
http://www.google.com/remove.html#exclude_pages
