CFMX uses JDBC (no OLEDB, but there is an ODBC bridge), and the datasources
are stored in a file cfusionmx/lib/neo-query.xml it is a WDDX file, so you
should be able to use the CFWDDX tag on it.

Subject: [thelist] CFMX: Programmatically adding datasources (tip)

Does anybody know how to programmatically create an OLEDB datasource record
in CFADMIN for CF and CFMX?

Thanks.

Found this while trying to find out an answer to my question.

One thing I didn't know was that there is a VTM upgrade for CFStudio 4 and 5
to handle CFMX tag changes:
