[thelist] Commerce/Payment/Store Question

I have a client who is going to want to set up a site with
an ability to take online transactions for, among other
things, the downloading of e-book type PDF files.

Users would pay, and then ideally come to a page with a
link to download the PDF, or pay and get an email message
with a link to the page or whatnot.

While there's the possibility that folks would share the
PDFs with other folks via email, I'd ideally like to make
sure that one wouldn't simply be able to share a URL and
then have folks go to it.

I've used PayPal with previous clients, but that has been
for the sale of physical goods or tickets to events -- no
downloads required following payment.

Anyone know of any good solutions? I'm open to something
like PayPal, or perhaps a hosted solution/service, or
perhaps an open source app or solution. Currently, she
uses a service called 1ShoppingCart.com, but it's a bit
cheesy. Anyone heard of it?

Thanks in advance,

Anthony
