Why don't you use 24-bit PNG? Then you'd have the same features in a
format that is acceptable on the web ... with compression!!
BMP is a proprietary Microsoft file format. I have not checked out the
BMP feature in the BrowserCam application nor do I have any data on what
browsers support BMP or PNG (though PNG is a web format, BMP not)..
In the past, however, I have noted unpredictable results when others have
linked BMP files.. not to mention they are uncompressed...
Anyhow, congrats on the system, it has generated quite a stir :)
