Why do you think I'm running Windows? :) That's another story.
(Actually, I am..) However, I am not using any M$ apps to develop on
at all.

I can probably agree with that. I'm just trying to see beyond the
marketing and into what people think who really use the stuff have to
say.

Hey, we deal with this very issue over at Maccaws[1]. Part of the
problem is.. 95% of CSS-based sites look like blogs...(its true)

Of course, but maybe it IS worth buying! :)

I'm not at all concerned about that. *I* Would be the one authoring
the stuff. I know how to use Flash and DW already. I'm just trying to
get a feel for how this is better than say - a standards based
HTML/CSS web site with a php/mySQL architecture that was creatively
designed and works well.

*I* Think it is interesting too. I don't know why people have the
impression I hate MM or something or the site. I kind of like parts
of the site, I very much like most of their products.

Who cares what kind of an undertaking it was? People do
nose-to-the-grindstone work every day. Its part of the industry.

Again, my comments here are NOT really about their web site. I'm more
interested in the concept of Rich Internet Applications... yet few
have actually commented on it. Maybe this is part of the problem.
Maybe its a nice buzzword but nobody really knows what it means or
how it can really help other than "I can build a cool flash site
really fast."

I specified some things in my first email about this concept, and
only one person really responded with any insight about it. I was
hoping for more real world things to see that have used it (he gave
us 3 to look at which were good examples.)
