[thelist] Sendmail: message stuck in mqueue

Hi,

I have a message stuck in /var/spool/mqueue -- it's been there for about 24 
hours. It's quite large (about 9 MB), which is, I think, why it got stuck. 
The person who's supposed to receive it is waiting for it, and I can't seem 
to get it to go. It's an incoming message that's supposed to go to an 
account on my server.

Everything I've read says that "sendmail -q" should do it, but this seems 
to have no effect. I'm pretty inexperienced with Sendmail. Any suggestions 
for how I might get it delivered?
