* No-one will use your page as homepage unless it's as useful as Google.
* Any user who doesn't know how to make a bookmark is going to have a 
very hard time locating the one you automagicaly created for him.
* These links make your page look cheap.

That is why this "fool" is telling you to get rid of them.
