Another answer depends on the context of the question, in that it could also mean an
interface for interacting with functions in a weblog CMS, such as the three big weblog
interfaces "Blogger API" (also extended by the API implemented by MoveableType), XML-RPC,
and the not-even-finished-yet new kid on the block the nEcho/Atom REST-based API.
