The other side of the coin appears to be, "f**k it, let someone else deal
with the consequences, I've got kids to feed." This is not an argument,
it's a rationalization (and not a very good one at that).

E-mail marketing is no more a cooperative endeavour than TV commercials or
freeway billboards crowding your psychological space to make a buck, and
unlike TV or radio it doesn't even bother to provide entertainment as
bait.
