[thelist] mod_gzip -- what are the drawbacks?

Ah... well the drawback in my case is that my host doesn't support mod_gzip

Thanks for the info... I might be looking for a new host anyway, so this 
adds to my list of requirements:

mysql
php
ssh
crontab
procmail
.htaccess (redirects, mod_speling, AddType, ErrorDocument, Rewrite, 
Indexes +Multiviews, FancyIndexing, TrackModified, and now mod_gzip)

Those are the ones I could think of off-hand.
