are you being a tool or a troll?

surely you've been on this list long enough to know that i not only realize
browsers are free to ignore the "suggested" size or not execute scripting at
all. in fact, you should know by now that i'm a huge proponent of using
scripting in such ways as to not require scripting (even have 2 articles in
the top 5 highest rated articles on the website that cover that topic in
depth) and am quick to try to show other developers that light whenever i
see scripting posted that "transgresses" in that area.

you've also been on this list long enough for me to know that you're proud
of the fact that you not only dislike scripting, but also surf the net with
scripting disabled except for the only the most trusted of sites because of
your concern (paranoia?) that scripting has so many security holes (hic)
that you might be otherwise compromised by leaving it on except for the most
untrustworthy of sites.

finally, as the list of comprised of developers, i'm sure that 99.4% of the
readers are well aware of the fact that scripting is not supported by all
browsers and that it can even be turned off for those that support it "out
of the box". however, i'm sure the remaining 0.6% of the readers (all of
whom i'm sure are either nomail or currently bouncing email) will learm
something from your musing.

<tip type="ColdFusion">

have an array with dynamic indexes and the possibility of an index of 0
(zero) or gaps between indexes? don't use an array. instead, use a
structure.

</tip>

thanks,

.jeff
