[thelist] Windows VPN Analysis

I am on a Windows 2K VPN with the server. We upload/download files via it
and we run MS VSS over it. My aDSL connection works just fine for regular
HTTP communications with the server, but VPN communications proceed VERY
slowly. I am aware that a Win VPN creates 2-way communications for basically
all communication, including a simple file upload or download, but still I
think ours goes very slow.

I have NetMedic so I can see the speed of the communications, but I am now
looking for something more detailed and lower level to analyze what is
happening and hopefully determine a solution to allow us to proceed faster.

I connect to the VPN (over the great ocean, heh heh) to a Netopia 4522
router at headquarters.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
