I use a 1Ghz p3 with 15in screen (that's not go the greatest contrast
going), but as I seem to spend most of my webdesign time editing text files
it has more than enough kick (I only upgraded my p3-650 desktop so I could
play games)

To be honest though, it not as quick developing using a laptop. I find a
real keyboard & mouse so much faster to work with.

If I were in the market for an all singing all dancing laptop to replace my
desktop I would go for something Sony. (They also hold value better)
