: Are you just talking about some arbitrary data? I'd imagine not.
:
: Otherwise, Project Server stores its data in SQL Server (or MSDE), and you
: can hook MS Project into Project Server...

:
: What i want to accomplish is:-
:
: I have some data stored in my SQL Server 2000 DB.
:
: What i want to do is run a web page that gets the DB data and populates MS
Project 2000 with this data.
:
: Is it possible?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Again - if this is just arbitrary data, then no, you won't be able to do
this. Project will expect information in a certain format. Unless your data
happens to be in exactly that format, then you're not going to be able to do
what you want. I assume there are some kinds of "import" options in Project
2000, and maybe you'll be able to format your data that way.
That said - Project Server stores it's data in SQL Server 2000 (or MSDE),
and you can hook your copy of Project up to Project Server. Project Server
exposes information via IIS (and over HTTP).
Cheers
Ken
