any browser that honours WAP 2.0 will "honour" this. Note that it is not
an OS issue (Handspring runs Palm OS and Pocket PC is its own OS), but
an issue of the browser built into the platform.
Many handheld browsers are made to show trimmed versions of HTML pages,
eg with graphics but without the fancy layouts due to screen size
limitiations, and so are actually cut-down html (not wap) browsers.

WAP 2.0 supports xhtml mobile profile and css mobile profile meaning you
can have essentially the same web content but with different formats
specified in the stylesheets for mobile devices. This differs from wap
1.x which relied upon wml as the markup language and therefore did not
allow you to run the same output content without server-side
reformatting and user-agent sniffing.
