I'm certain that isn't the case. The web server at www.realtymort.com is 
running Apache, and is configured so that accessing a directory will 
load content from index.htm (using the DirectoryIndex directive). If you 
load up http://www.realtymort.com/listings/ using Web Sniffer[1] (an 
excellent diagnostic tool) the returned page is served with a 200 HTTP 
status code - which means the page exists. Google cares not a jot about 
file extensions or even whether a URL looks like a file or a directory - 
as long as the content served comes back with a 200 response it's 
considered a web page.
