I think the blue in question makes a great color for the text, on a
white background.

Looking at the home page on my mega 21" monitor, the fold hit right
between the third and fourth box, giving me the false impression that
I had the whole page on screen.

Of all the jobs I've bid, the folks who wanted the most newbie-friendly
hand-holding were at my place of worship.  (e.g. "click here to ...").
I would not be justified in assuming that the senior citizens who make
up a substantial part of the congregation were all sufficiently computer-
savvy to be up to speed on the scrolling issue.

(Just my $0.02.  YCMV)
