excuse me but you don't need much to be confused..
What help are you using ?
On PHP.net one can see that the third paramter is a time.. described as
an int, a LONG one..

I mean you just have to see any page on variable types, to see that LONG
is integer...

In your manual you see that the third paramter should be an int, but you
still give the function a string, that doesn't bother you ? ;-)
