A good rant like this is appreciated after a stressful Friday with the
boss from Dilbert hell.
Here's a screenshot of what American Customer Care looks like in Lynx,
which will tell you want the search engines might see:

As a devil's advocate at the very least the site is colorful and
cheerful.
<tip type="Search Engine Optimization 101">
Search engines cannot execute javascript, look at images, or use flash.
Try your site in a text-only browser like Lynx. You can install Lynx on
Windows or Mac OSX. Lynx will approximate what a search engine can see
and do on your site. Use Lynx to see if you can navigate the site. If
you can't navigate the site, then the search engines can't either. If
the content you can read in Lynx doesn't tell you what your site is
about, then the search engines probably won't index you properly and
you can kiss your rankings good-bye.
