[thelist] CSS Layout Problems

Hello,

I am having some difficulty with my first attempt at a tableless layout.

The page below does not behave as expected in IE6. Everything seem okay in Firebird/Mozilla/Opera etc.

The problem is with the "h1" tag in the content area. When the page is loaded the h1 content is not visible and there is a great deal of unwanted space between it and the table below.  The strange thing is that when any hyperlink content is rolled over the invisible "h1" will appear.

Is this an IE thing or have I done something wrong? 
BTW the page does validate "XHTML 1.0 Strict"
