Not essential, but I would find it annoying.  In Internet Explorer
under Windows, the arrow keys are supposed to scroll the page, and
the tab key is supposed to do the tabbing.  If your customers are
going to use it, I'd think twice.

(Obviously, that's just my point of view.)
