Interestingly, at http://www.google.com/addurl.html it says: "Please enter your full URL, including the http:// prefix. For example: http://www.google.com/. " So they seem to be suggesting that you should have the / at the end Just an observation - I have no idea if it makes a difference to have / at the end or not Jane ----- Original Message ----- From: John C Bullas (soton.ac.uk relay) To: thelist at lists.evolt.org Sent: Monday, February 09, 2004 11:06 PM Subject: Re: [thelist] google and the studio stitches site MORE At 12:11 09/02/2004, you wrote: >Sorry. I think we are at the point where evidence supports stepping back for a few days/weeks and waiting for catchup Q: Does the local search you set up via google in some way REPLACE the existing googling? If so have you given google the wrong data to generate its search? http://www.google.com/searchcode.html did you set "YOUR DOMAIN NAME," as e.g., http://froogle.google.com/ rather than http://froogle.google.com as wouldn't that only allow access to the index page? A thought....
