Looking for a way to prevent autosignups to your groups or to prevent
exploitation of online
  resources by scripts designed to bulk submit?

<tip type="preventing bots/scripts exploiting your online resources"
author="John Bullas">
Want to challenge visitors to read and type in a graphic of a word
to gain access to a resource....? like yahoogroups do ...?
You can achieve this via a free third party perl module called GD::RPPNG.
You can download it here: http://www.spale.com/gd-rppng/

The generated code could be copied into a mysql table which
is then checked when the form is submitted. (geektools do this)
(via Robb of Centregate!)
