I don't want people bookmarking the wrong page... But now that I think about it, if they get to main.htm then they have the right flash version anyway. So only issue is if someone shares the url... Do not want to bother with frames so if there is no easy way I will just live with it. ................................................. justin zachan jazz management +61 (0)414 570 807 www.jazzmanagement.com.au design | technology | solutions -----Original Message----- From: Maximillian Schwanekamp [mailto:anaxamaxan at neptunewebworks.com] Sent: Thursday, 8 April 2004 1:41 PM To: justin at jazzmanagement.com.au; thelist at lists.evolt.org Subject: RE: [thelist] hide part of url string Kinda yucky, but you can use a frameset to do that - one child frame will be 0px wide, the other will be *. What is the reasoning for doing it? (Frames are yucky IMHO). I want to be able to hide part of the url string. Can this be done? I am running a flash detection script on the index page that then forwards the user to main.htm (or another page if they do not have flash). I basically want the url to show the main page i.e. www.website.com <http://www.website.com/> rather than www.website.com/main.htm. Can this be done easily??
