Sorry, Josh, that probably sounded trite and obvious. 

To explain, I once spent hours (days?) trying to figure out why Pinnacle
always stalled at the same spot, on a brand new PC, and why some things took
HOURS to complete.... eventually it turned out there were two faulty sectors
on the HDD causing all the trouble...
