Thanks to everyone who replied.  I have only had time to test

but although it works in Opera 7.23 and IE6, (which is fine for me) it
doesn't display the columns properly in Mozilla 1.7.
 I'll try again to see if there's any workaround or if there's a better
alternative.

|| the page to display correctly in Netscape/IE but not Safari.  Is
