In VBA, you can use the following:
DoCmd.RunSQL "SELECT * FROM ..."
to run an SQL query that you've hard coded, or put together on the fly.
You can also use the following:
DoCmd.RunSQL currentDB.QueryDefs("MyQueryName").SQL
to run an SQL query that you've created and saved using the Query Builder.
