Hello Fellow Evolters!
I'm desperately in need of help. I have a Mandrake 10 box with apache2 (Version: Apache-AdvancedExtranetServer/1.3.29 (Mandrake Linux/1.1.100mdk mod_perl/1.29) running. Just today, my web applications stopped responding and I found out that my httpd conked out. I've been restarting httpd, with the following status:
Starting httpd-perl: [ OK ]
Starting httpd2: [ OK ]
But when I do a status check, I only see this:
Apache-mod_perl is running.
httpd-perl: 8271 8270 8269 8268 8260
And a quick listing of httpd relevant process shows:
root 8260 0.0 1.0 7668 4052 ? S 22:24 0:00 httpd-perl -f /etc/httpd/conf/httpd-perl.conf -DPERLPROXIED -D
apache 8268 0.0 1.1 7884 4312 ? S 22:24 0:00 httpd-perl -f /etc/httpd/conf/httpd-perl.conf -DPERLPROXIED -D
apache 8269 0.0 1.1 7884 4312 ? S 22:24 0:00 httpd-perl -f /etc/httpd/conf/httpd-perl.conf -DPERLPROXIED -D
apache 8270 0.0 1.0 7884 4120 ? S 22:24 0:00 httpd-perl -f /etc/httpd/conf/httpd-perl.conf -DPERLPROXIED -D
apache 8271 0.0 1.0 7884 4120 ? S 22:24 0:00 httpd-perl -f /etc/httpd/conf/httpd-perl.conf -DPERLPROXIED -D
My error log:
[Tue May 25 22:39:26 2004] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/apache2-suexec)
[Tue May 25 22:39:26 2004] [notice] Digest: generating secret for digest authentication ...
[Tue May 25 22:39:26 2004] [notice] Digest: done
[Tue May 25 22:39:27 2004] [error] Cannot allocate shared memory: (17)File exists
I hope the info here is enough. Rebooting is not an option at this time because of heavy transactions with MySQL, also installed in the box.
TIA,
Jon
