The notebook should post, however booting up will depend on how the BIOS is
configured. I have a desktop computer with a dead CMOS battery and the
computer will post, but will always stop with an error message saying that
the Time is wrong. I then have to go into the BIOS and reset the time before
the computer will actually boot.
