[thelist] "PHP or ASP?" dilemma - I will STFU

I use it to write v1.1 code all the time.

Dennis Bauer's version switcher tool can be used to switch .NET versions if
you only have a single OS:
http://www.denisbauer.com/NETTools.aspx

Personally I have v1.1 running on a separate OS to v2 stuff, but still use
VWD Express to do the work.

Cheers
Ken

: Never mind, I found it.
:
: http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/express/vwd/
:
: So like everything else that MS is saying is great, it's for
: ASP.NET 2.0, which won't even be released until the end of the year (if
: that). It'd be nice if they would have actually done something for the
: version 1 users :-D

: Got a link for that?
:
: I just use Matrix because it's pretty decent and free, but if
: you've got something better, bring it on.

: Visual Web Developer Express 2005 is, IMHO, a far better editor than Web
:
: Matrix. Intellisense alone is huge productivity booster.

::
:: If you like the text editor approach to ASP.NET -- which I do --
:: then you might try WebMatrix from the ASP.NET team. It's basically in
:: eternal beta, but it still works pretty well (and it's free). Design
:: mode is there if you want it, but I never use it; there are some other
:: features like good syntax coloring, code helpers, built-in interface
: to
:: your database, and FTP-based workspaces. You can download it at
:: http://www.asp.net .

:: Cheers,
