[thelist] p-ing at the bottom

Hi

I can't seem to remember how to make my <p class="footer"> ... </p> appear
at the bottom of the page if the page content only fills half the page. I
seem to remember I have to set the body to be height: 100%, and you'd
expect to set p.footer{ vertical-align: bottom}, but that isn't working.
What am I missing?
