I am sorry that I missed that thread. There are some KB articles
related to the errors you were getting (eg Server Execution Failed).

However, I note that you didn't provide any information about your
lock down policy, or the fact that you had been changing the default
settings. If you had done so, I suspect that someone would have
pointed you to Filemon and Regmon (www.sysinternals.com)
