You're not the only person who feels this way. The back button (or 
however you would close a window if it's not there) always stops the 
sound. It's also the first sign that I'm going to your competitor (if 
you're a business).

That said, I surf with Javascript only available to trusted Web sites, 
and Flash not installed at all (I don't even think a Flash plugin 
native to my OS is available).
