The tabbrowser extension has that built in
http://piro.sakura.ne.jp/xul/_tabextensions.html.en
Actually, the tabbrowser extension could be said to be all sorts of
extensions bundled into one. Just make sure the "Restore tab session, on
next startup of crash", under "Startup" isn't ticked, that reduces
performance ridiculously (at least with earlier versions). Otherwise it
brings much power to the tabbed browsing, and it's one of the fewer
extensions that actually work with the auto updater (though that gets
better all the time)

Thanks very much for those suggestions in FF XTs. Thee was one you
mentioned
that I could not find:
>Session Saver (saves open tabs/windows, and restores them on restart)

Is it called another name? Could not find that anywhere at
https://update.mozilla.org/extensions/?application=firefox

I could sure use that one!

A few extensions I can't do without:
Cookie Button (button for toggling cookie options per site),
Paste and Go (paste the clipboard into the location bar and go there -
if it's an URL),
Secure Password Generator (exactly that)
Session Saver (saves open tabs/windows, and restores them on restart)
